The Start of Something New

See where students currently lead STF Campus chapters!

Thanks for your interest in bringing She's the First to your campus community! To establish a She's the First chapter, you must be:

  • A student who is currently enrolled in high school or college

  • Attending a school that allows clubs/student organizations

  • A proud advocate for the rights of girls everywhere, including the 10 rights outlined in the Global Girls Bill of Rights

  • Willing to uphold STF's commitment to anti-oppression and anti-racism

Incoming seniors may apply to start a new chapter during the summer before or first month of their senior year, as long as there are at least two younger students participating in the application process and chapter leadership. Incoming freshman should wait until the start of the school year to apply.

Once a chapter is established, you'll be expected to meet the following requirements to stay active:

  1. Submit the chapter survey and renewal form twice per year (typically June & December)

  2. Host at least one fundraising or awareness activity on campus per semester

  3. Send at least one representative to attend the STF Summit or a regional campus advocacy training in your area per year (this requirement is waived for chapters based outside of the United States)

To start, you'll need at least 4 interested peers to make up an executive board and ideally, an additional staff/faculty member who can supervise you. You can check out our Chapter Starter Kit for more information on the process and once you're all ready to go, you can fill out the form below!

Note: Chapters are approved on a rolling basis, so keep an eye out in your inbox 2-4 weeks after applying!
